What make a house a home for us?

Interior posts, they are a'coming. As soon as the Marine unloads them into my possession I can show you the before pictures of everything you ever wanted to see inside this place the days before we purchased it. You'll see the quirky lighting in the kitchen (all seven DIFFERENT light fixtures), the lack of overhead lighting in the loving/dining room combo, and the front room, the flowery decor in the master bedroom, and possibly even a glimpse of what some rooms look like currently.

It was fabulously clean Friday, before the Marine came home. It took less than two days to make it feel like we live here again! Newspaper on the kitchen table, hangers on the bed, laundry in the dryer, towels drying in the bathrooms, it's the little things that make it home like to us. Not to mention the obscene amount of black lab dog hair that shows up where ever it feels like. One would think (a) we NEVER brush her and (b) we never vacuum or sweep in here. Neither are correct, she's just a typical lab in her shedding fashion. But, we love her, three legs and all.

So, a typical post has pictures, so I'll leave you with these inspiration photos from the addiction pinterest website.

Beveled glass subway tiles will be somewhere in this house.

Great use of wall space for t.v. in bedroom

Perfect shade of green walls, fabulous rug, comfy chair, and a happy couch!!

Black, white, natural wood, stainless steel: all elements to be inside the kitchen all at once.

The perfect flooring for our Bungalow: hardwood rustic hickory.... depending upon the condition of woods floors underneath this wretched OLD saggy carpet...
